Affrontando la biografia di un bandito vissuto agli inizi del Seicento nella riva occidentale dell’Alto Garda si delineano le dinamiche sociali e politiche che hanno contribuito a costruire l’immagine di un mito che giunge sino ai nostri giorni. Un’immagine che sembra delineare una ‘lunga biografia’ che si ripresenta costantemente vivida e misteriosa nel grande ex-voto conservato nel santuario della Madonna di Montecastello di Tignale (BS).

The life of an early 17th century bandit from the northwest shore of the Lake of Garda reflects the social and political background that contributed to the making of a myth that has lasted until the present time. His is a centuries-long presence that seems to hover vividly and mysteriously over the great ex voto in the sanctuary of the Madonna di Montecastello di Tignale, near Brescia.
